As our next 8th District Commissioner, I will work to address poverty, protect our planet, and advance our shared compassionate values on the County Board.

I was born in Chicago and raised in Logan Square. I am the proud son of working-class, immigrant parents. As a community organizer and dedicated public servant who has worked as the Neighborhood Services Director for 35th Ward Alderman Carlos Ramirez-Rosa, I have provided services to thousands of families in need and built coalitions to fight for the resources we deserve.
Cook County’s 8th District is a vibrant area on the northwest side of the City of Chicago. It is a culturally and economically diverse district spanning 11 neighborhoods. Primarily comprised of middle-class and working-class residents, the 8th District is known for its rich immigrant history and is home to residents of Puerto Rican, Mexican, and Polish descent among many other ethnicities.
The 8th district contains portions of Logan Square, Humboldt Park, Irving Park, Hermosa, Belmont Cragin, Avondale, Belmont Heights, Dunning, Montclare, and Portage Park.
Neighborhoods across Chicago and Cook County are struggling with rising poverty rates, homelessness, uninsured people, unemployment, and costs of living. I am running because Cook County needs a champion that will fight for universal healthcare, dignified housing, safe neighborhoods, and a clean environment for everyone.
Our campaign is proudly endorsed by our most trusted progressive leaders and organizations.
