I was born in Chicago and raised in Logan Square. I am the proud son of working-class, immigrant parents. As your county commissioner, I have provided services to thousands of families in need and built coalitions to fight for the resources we deserve.

About the 8th District

Cook County’s 8th District is a vibrant area on the northwest side of the City of Chicago. It is a culturally and economically diverse district spanning 11 neighborhoods. Primarily comprised of middle-class and working-class residents, the 8th District is known for its rich immigrant history and is home to residents of Puerto Rican, Mexican, and Polish descent among many other ethnicities.

The 8th district contains portions of Logan Square, Humboldt Park, Irving Park, Hermosa, Belmont Cragin, Avondale, Belmont Heights, Dunning, Montclare, and Portage Park.
